What is a Concierge, and what does Lifestyle Managers do?

I have been managing peoples properties, businesses and parts of their personal lives since I graduated college. Not until about a year ago did I start to realize that what I actually had become was a personal assistant and personal concierge. To be able to make a living as a fly-fishing guide (Colorado, Arizona, Alaska), I ran the busy offices and helped improve the lives of the busy owners that I guided for. I became so proficient in improving the lives and profits of these business that I “retired” from being a fishing guide and moved on to work as the General Manager of a busy Caribbean fishing, scuba diving, and eco-adventure resort. From there my wife and I moved back to the US to open and run a reservation and Sales/Marketing virtual office for the same resort. After working for other people for so long (and traveling the world as an adventure guide), we both decided that we should open our own Personal Assistant and Concierge Company. Other then owning our own business, we wanted to streamline our services and offer them to more then just one client. When we started to make this transition, the number one question people asked us was, “What is a Concierge, and what does Lifestyle Managers do?”

Definition of a Personal Concierge

Answers.com describe Personal Concierge services that allow their clients to “buy back precious time so that they can get back to enjoying what means most to them.” They say that a personal concierge works on the most basic of premises: “people want things done and just don’t have the time to do them.” We built Current Concierge to continue to bring balance and a perfect rhythm to our clients lives through our personal concierge services. We allow clients to “buy time back” and focus on what is most important for them.

Travel Concierge

By giving our clients more personal time, we find that they naturally ask us about our adventures and we also act as a their travel concierge. Our clients love the fact that we can help them run their office, manage parts of their business and family lives, as well as consult and plan their vacations.
