I think the Sarasota Farmers Market is not only “must-see” for vacationers but a place that locals need to support. So what if it costs some extra pennies to buy our produce locally! Instead of getting baby carrots that are shipped across the country in a gas guzzling truck, get them at our local Farmers Market.
Yes, the idea of sustainability have been polarized in the wake of this massive BP oil spill, and “living within out means” takes on new meaning. At least it does for me. I think we should stop worrying about the things that we can not change, and wake up early this Saturday to support something that does make a change! Buy local at the Sarasota Farmers Market! Sarasota’s Farmers Market hours of operation are every Saturday between 7am and 12pm.
